Our journey with Golden Retrievers began when we fell in love with the breed after helping a breeder raise a few dear little puppies a number of years ago. They were just gorgeous! These young pups were only a few days old and needed a lot of extra nursing to survive. We were so please that they grew to be healthy, happy well adjusted pups and went to families as loving pets. After a lot of research I decided to become a registered breeder. We chose the Golden’s because they have such beautiful loyal easygoing natures and they make fantastic family pets. We purchased our first girl, Torah, and have since rescued a couple of cleft palate babies Bodhi and Zander which has been so rewarding (of course these boys have been desexed)….. And so our family of Golden’s has grown…and we love it!
Finmaws is situated on an farm in the lovely hills of Sth Gippsland where there’s fresh air and space for puppies to play and grow in a healthy and happy environment. Our dogs are an important part of our family and share our home with us. Puppies are socialised with people, other dogs, cats and a variety of farm animals.
Parents are selected for their great temperament and hip and elbow scores and have ACES eye testing.
